What a Rebuild Involves
Reconditioning returns an engine that has reached the end of its service life, or suffered internal damage, to factory dimensions or approved repair sizes. The engine is fully dismantled, every component is cleaned and then measured with precision instruments. Cylinder surfaces, crankshaft journals and bearing seats are assessed against wear limits; surfaces are machined where required and worn parts are replaced with new ones.
